Oliver Young was established as a company in 1983 under the trading name of Star Graphics. Originating with a pre-press focus, the company quickly expanded over the following 10 years - forcing a move in 1993 to a larger premises at the top of Ponsonby's Franklin Rd.
Oliver Young's ongoing commitment to being at the forefront of technology also allowed for a move into the area of graphic design, with the design studio being established in 1997. This was followed shortly with the purchase of Uniprint (offset printing and finishing) and Quadpak (packaging) in 1999. This swiftly increased the breadth of services and products Oliver Young could offer, creating a full-service creative, design, print production and management house.
In 2001 Oliver Young purchased a water's-edge, purpose built facility in the Rosebank Business district, 7 minutes from Auckland's CBD. Oliver Young now operates 24 hrs 6 days a week with over 50 permanent staff.
