Sustainability

Oliver Young is aware of the impact of manufacturing on the environment.

We recycle wastepaper stocks, plates, and the chemical residue from the printing process is stored and recycled in a 3-tier underground filter tank system. Oliver Young offers its clients a full range of product including environmentally friendly paper and ink. The choice of product is made by the client. There is no loss of quality in the finished product if environmentally friendly product is selected.

Oliver Young purchases 95 per cent of its paper products from 3 major paper suppliers. The 3 suppliers all source their product from mills that are certified under ISO14001 environmental management systems and registered under the EU Eco-management Audit Scheme EMAS. EMAS is designed to deliver continual improvements in a company's environmental performance. In addition, the pulp used to produce paper is sourced from Well Managed Forests - forests which are certified and audited to ensure they comply with environmentally sustainable practices and principles.

Oliver Young has 1 major ink supplier and most of their inks are vegetable-oil based. All products from this supplier conform to the International Hazardous Substances lists, namely, none of the ink products use banned substances. Ink waste is correctly disposed of through registered disposal companies who conform to local government regulations.
